Cory has helped me crawl my way out of burnout and rekindle my love for running. I've let go of rigid training plans and learned to show myself grace if life gets in the way of a planned run. I have released anxiety around workouts by training based on effort rather than a prescribed pace and now rather than dreading my workouts, I look forward to them and find them fun! I have a couple of races on my calendar and I am approaching them with curiosity about what I'm capable of rather than intense self-inflicted pressure to achieve a time goal.
Cory is a very knowledgeable coach with a lot of running and coaching experience. While Cory knows how to put a really great training plan together, my favorite aspect of his coaching is his focus on his athletes’ mental health and ensuring that his athletes prioritize the joy of training. Cory checks in on the training log at least every weekday, which demonstrates how much he cares about his athletes and their training. I’ve been running since 2007 and have had multiple running coaches, but I’m enjoying training now more than ever!
I never realized how much I needed a coach until I started working with Cory. He has reminded me, this 69-year-old, that I am an athlete and to be curious yet accepting of my running goals celebrating where I am and enjoying the journey. I'm forever grateful!
Cory is an excellent coach with tons of experience and knowledge. His focus on the long term and enjoyment of the process has helped me become a more resilient and confident runner. If you want to train smart while loving what you do, Cory is the coach to call!
The training really works around my schedule. I feel myself getting stronger every day as I progress through the workouts. From the workouts to the long runs, all the way down to the band, and core exercises, I can see significant improvement in my performance every week. Longevity is definitely possible with these workout regimens and Coach Keehn is always able to modify my workouts to fit around my personal time not against it.
Despite 40+ years of running it wasn’t until I started to work with Cory that I became an athlete, not just any athlete but a mountain-running ultra endurance athlete. Through his wit and his wisdom, his drive, and ambition, his sensitivity and persuasiveness, and his dedication to the sport and to his athletes I have climbed higher and harder, faster and more furiously than I, at one time, would have thought possible. My ambition, I told Cory when first we met was to be the top Vet60 in Ireland. I am one race away from achieving that goal.
I was struggling with lassitude and bone-deep aches and fatigue. Most days it was hard to get out the door for my run, so I skipped many days (most days!). Nothing I tried was working. It was figure this out or quit running. Cory agreed to help me and he's righting the ship. Yes, my legs still hurt a little, but now it's a pleasant mild fatigue. My running is now completely consistent and my strength and stamina are improving. I've got a long way to go, but now I feel confident enough to run the Moab 240, at the age of 69!
Cory has been helping me train for a 100-mile race. I couldn't be happier with the results. Cory's approach is refreshingly simple and flexible, and he truly cares about his client's well-being and success. By communicating my workouts honestly and letting him know how I was feeling, Cory could adjust my plan accordingly and keep me on track. His guidance and expertise have been invaluable, and I am so grateful for his support throughout my training journey.
Cory tells it like it is. That’s why I trust him with my training. I didn’t really think I needed a coach until I started training with him. Then I realized it’s nice to be able to work with someone who has so much experience and also listens.
